Prunus darvasica, the Darvaz plum, is rare plant endemic to Tajikistan. It is found in the Tajik portion of the Pamir Mountains, the Darvoz Range. There, the plants grow as shrubs 1.5-2.5 m tall. The fruit are small (2 cm) but otherwise typical plums, nearly black, with a blue waxy coat. The pit is brown. The fruit is edible and can be made into jam or compote. It is suspected that P. darvasica is of hybrid origin, as it is a tetraploid with 48 (or 32, depending on the source) chromosomes, possibly the result of P. domestica × (P. prostrata × P. cerasifera).

Iris rosenbachiana, the spinster iris, is a species in the genus Iris, it is also in the subgenus Scorpiris. It is a bulbous perennial from Central Asia, within Tajikistan and Afghanistan. It has long mid-green leaves, short flower stem, sweet scented flowers in early spring in shades of purple.

Iris stolonifera is a plant species in the genus Iris; it is also in the subgenus Iris, and in the section Regelia. It is a rhizomatous perennial, from the mountains of Turkestan, between Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. It has red-skinned stolon roots and rhizomes, glaucous, long, blue-grey leaves, and bi-coloured flowers, in various shades from milky white, to blue, purple, pale lilac, lavender, and brown. It normally has blue to yellow beards on all the petals.

Tulipa vvedenskyi is a species in the genus Tulipa, in the lily family. It is found in Tajikistan and perhaps Uzbekistan. Some authorities have it as a synonym of Tulipa alberti. Its cultivar 'Tangerine Beauty' has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. 'Tangerine Beauty' has large bright red flowers flamed with soft orange, and it blooms Mid-May. Another cultivar is T. vvedenskyi 'Orange Sunset'

Paulita is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Apiaceae. Its native range is Central Asia and it is found in Kyrgyzstan and Tadzhikistan. The genus name of Paulita is in honour of Pavel Nikolaevich Ovczinnikov or Paul Ovczinnikov (1903–1979), who was a Russian botanist, specialist in grasses, who in 1945 was the Director of the Botanical Institute at the Academcy of Sciences in Tajikistan. The genus was circumscribed by Jiří Soják in Čas. Nár. Muz. Praze, Rada Přír. vol.150 on page 216 in (1981, publ. 1982).

Ostrowskia is a genus of plants in the family Campanulaceae. There is only one known species, Ostrowskia magnifica, native to the Central Asian nations of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
