It is found in alpine and sub-alpine areas of the Indomalayan and Australasian realms, including Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, Davao and Mount Apo on Mindanao, the Bantaeng mountains in southwestern Sulawesi, and Mount Fetin on Timor.
