Notocladonia

Notocladonia is a genus of two Australasian species of lichen-forming fungi in the family Cladoniaceae. The genus was established in 2003 by Samuel Hammer to accommodate Australasian species previously misplaced in the neotropical genus Ramalea. Notocladonia species are distinguished by their spore-bearing discs (apothecia) that form at the tips of scale-like lobes or short stalks, rather than beneath the thallus as in Ramalea.
