Hieracium coloratum is a forb in the family Asteraceae. A single sample was found in Ecuador more than 120 years ago and put into a collection without a clear description of where it was found. The label on the specimen only says "in Andibus Ecuadorensibus". Since then, no other occurrence has been noted and there are no specimens in the collections of Ecuadorian museums.

T. angustisectum was first formally described in 1944 by the Finnish botanist Harald Lindberg, based on material collected in northern Finland and published in Exsiccatae Florae Fennicae.

In 1961, it was moved to its own genus Hylandra by Áskell Löve. As of March 2024 the move was not accepted by Plants of the World Online, and Hylandra is considered a synonym of Arabidopsis.

Cerastium nigrescens var. nigrescens, commonly known as the Shetland mouse-ear, Shetland mouse-eared chickweed or Edmondston's chickweed, is an endemic variety of Arctic Chickweed, Cerastium nigrescens, found in Shetland, Scotland.[1] It was first recorded in 1837 by botanist Thomas Edmondston, who was 12 at the time. Although reported from two other sites in the 19th century, it currently grows only on two serpentine hills on the island of Unst (see Keen of Hamar). The numbers of Cerastium nigrescens var. nigrescens can vary dramatically from year to year, for reasons that are unclear
