Flora of Poland

Dianthus nitidus, commonly known as the Carpathian glossy pink, is a herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the family Caryophyllaceae. It is found in Slovakia, Serbia and Monetenegro and has most likely vanished from Poland. It had been recorded from the Pieniny in the 19th century but not seen since.

Cochlearia tatrae, the Tatra scurvy-grass, is a flowering plant of the genus Cochlearia in the family Brassicaceae. The plant is endemic to and named after the Tatra Mountains, which in northern Slovakia and southern Poland. The plant blooms from April to September.

Produced in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. Its presence in Hungary is considered questionable, and it is listed as extinct in Germany. Rubus tabanimontanus was first described and named by the German botanist Ernst Figert in 1906. It is found mainly along forest edges and in forest clearings, including forest roads and paths, burnt-out areas and deforestations.

It is a tall herbaceous plant with nodding purple flowers growing in high montane to subalpine habitats on exposed acidic slopes. It is native to Eastern Europe, and specifically the Carpathians. As a tetraploid species, it does not hybridise readily.

It includes nine species native to west-central Europe, ranging from France through Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czechia and Slovakia to Poland.
