Oxytes brachypoda

Oxytes brachpoda (common name - large tick-trefoil) is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Fabaceae. Its native range is Papua New Guinea to northern and eastern Australia and New Caledonia. (In Australia, it is found in the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.) It was first described in 1854 by Asa Gray as Desmodium brachypodum, from specimens found in Sydney and the Hunter River, but in 2018, it was transferred to the genus, Oxytes It flowers from spring to autumn (in New South Wales) and is common in sclerophyll forests.
